David is the creative force behind Bloom Portraits and the founder of Our Hip Happy Studios, a collective of photography, design, and hospitality brands based in Denver and Tucson. With over 25 years of experience behind the lens, David blends artistic intuition with technical precision to create portraits that feel warm, natural, and full of life.
His work is known for capturing the real stuff—laughter, connection, personality, and those tiny in-between moments that say everything. When he's not behind the camera, David is designing interiors through David William Interiors, co-running The Corner Custom Framing with his husband Eddy, or curating unforgettable guest experiences in their Arizona-based short-term rentals.

Kaylee has been the organizational and creative heartbeat of Bloom Portraits for the past 6 years. As both Studio Manager and Lead Photographer, she’s often your first point of contact and the smiling face behind the lens. With years of experience capturing families, children, maternity sessions, and school portraits, Kaylee brings a calm, confident energy to every shoot—and has a natural gift for making people (especially kids) feel relaxed and seen.
Clients often refer to her as a “kid whisperer,” and for good reason: she connects with little ones instantly and knows exactly how to bring out their real personalities. Behind the scenes, she keeps the studio running smoothly, manages the calendar, supports our school photography division, and makes sure every client has a seamless experience from start to finish.
Whether she's photographing toddlers at play or seniors on the brink of big life transitions, Kaylee approaches each session with care, creativity, and a touch of magic.
